Samotherium had the build of an okapi, with a pair of large ossicones on its head. The ossicones typically point up or back, but the chinese species Samotherium sinense has its ossicones pointing to the side. Samotherium is found in Eurasia and Africa during the Miocene and Pliocene. It was likely a grazer.
