The slender-snouted crocodile is a resident of Africa's deep jungles. It is a highly aquatic species, feeding mostly on fish. As its name implies, it has a narrow snout, more suited for snagging slippery aquatic prey than for subduing large mammals that come to the riverside.
The skin of this crocodile makes good leather, but its remote locations in deep jungles help it to escape the worst of human persecution.
Typical size for adults of this species is Moderate, but some get up to the smaller side of Huge.
