Ardipithecus in GURPS

Ardipithecus sp.

Ardipithecus was an early genus of humans from woodlands in east Africa in the early Pliocene. They may have walked bipedally, but still retained many adpatations for climbing. Their diet was most likely omnivorous, with fruit making up a significant portion. The reduced size of the canine teeth suggest reduced levels of competition between groups as compared to most other non-human primates. Tool use is not expected to be any more advanced in this species than in any modern non-human ape.
