Lynx in GURPS

Lynx sp

The lynx are a group of related, tailless cats that include the North American bobcat and Canadian lynx, the European Lynx, the Iberian Lynx, and the caracal. They sport tufts of hair on their ears and, except for the caracal, a ruff or mane about the neck. They are generally solitary wildcats, with a land tenure system similar to that of other solitary cats. Lynx take a wide variety of prey about the size of a rabbit or chicken, in addition to smaller rodents and birds.

Of all the lynx, the bobcat is perhaps the most adaptable, for it is numerous in North America despite the presence of humans. The caracal is easily tamed and can be used for hunting. The European and Iberian lynx are typically larger than other species, reaching weights of close to 40 kg for the males.
