Water deer are an antlerless species from China. They run with rabbit-like leaps. Males have large fangs, which they use to fight each other and to defend themselves. Males are solitary and territorial; females move about in small groups. Water deer have the largest litters of any deer, typically birthing two or three fawns at a time.
